Type B Problem of the Week

Today, Harper and I were playing with nail polish bottles on the bed.  Harper broke a pink one in two pieces - like she was going to use it as a weapon in a bar fight - and within .0000009 seconds, her hands, my hands, and my dry-clean only duvet cover were covered in sticky, bubblegum pink lacquer.

..So I ushered the reveler off the bed, took a picture with my phone, sent it to a friend and threw the duvet cover in the washing machine. ..Oh, the horror.

  1. GASP... omg. i think i would die. then when i was resurrected, i'd ditch the duvet and get a new one. and teach harper the finer things in life--like going to the nail salon :)

  2. Hahaha! I really tried to be freaked out.. seriously, I did! ..The duvet is still in the dryer.. on the 89th cycle of drying (which is prob. why it's dry-clean only) and it's probably ruined. Really though, who makes a duvet cover that's dry-clean only?

  3. If you put a tennis ball in the dryer with the duvet it should help fluff it up and get it dryer faster. omg, what a way to learn a lesson about nail polish. I learned the hard way about nail polish remover when I spilled some on Mike's govt owned end table. Luckily they didn't notice the stain and he didn't get charged. Now I only handle it and polish in the bathroom, kitchen, or nail salon :) Hope the stain comes out!!!

  4. Jess, I'll try tennis balls, b/c I have two dryer balls in there right now and they aren't getting the job done. ..Not like it'll be presentable when it's dry, anyway :) ...and yeah, the remover is nothing to mess with!
